Our 2011 Pinot Noir hails from the cool Sonoma Coast. This fantastic vineyard is just to the southeast of Occidental on a steep West-facing hillside. The blend of Pommard, Wadenswil and 115 clones provide a huge array of different flavors and aromatics. On display are deep raspberry, bright strawberry, violet, clove, underbrush, black pepper, and vanilla aromas, with deep, dark, yet lively flavors. The palate is very smooth and supple, with the gentlest of tannins providing shape and allowing the finish to really blossom. This wine should satisfy fans of new world wines, old world ones, and in between. Fermented with native yeasts and unfined and unfiltered.
