In 2010 the Husic Cabernet Sauvignon is derived from grapes from the terraces, as well as clone 7 from Julie’s Knoll. The terraces reached an almost hyper-ripe state, and the wine exudes the essence of the Husic estate, with distinct minerality, complexity, richness and structure. The color is even darker than the Palm Terrace, and the wine follows suit in the nose, with aromas of dark chocolate, dark cherry liquor, blackberry pie, slate, clove and anise. The palate is a beautiful balancing act of huge flavors and fine, classic structure, with a finish that lasts and lasts. Aged in 100% new French Oak barrels for 21 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
