This 2009 vintage provided us with great quality, but miniscule quantities, making our ever-popular Palm Terrace Cabernet in very short supply this year. The wine has a youthful exuberance, showing cherry, black raspberry, vanilla, clove, cinnamon, and bay aromatics. The 2009 growing season gave a sense of elegance to this hillside wine, and the ample tannins are buffered by a rich, detailed mid-palate and graceful finish. This should drink well now with food or provide more complexity as it ages for the next 8-12 years. Aged in 60% new French Oak for 21 months.
