Our 2009 Chardonnay shows its steep mountain pedigree with lemon pie, clove, cinnamon, mineral, and toasty aromatics. The mouthfeel is full and lush, but leaves the impression of copious energy and nerve to balance the rich and exotic flavors. The finish is long and elegant, allowing the flavors to linger softly. Fermented and aged in 50% new French Oak barrels for 11 months, and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
