Our rocky hillsides can achieve spectacular new heights in long, cool growing seasons such as 2009. This barrel-selection of our finest lots shows that influence and has developed into a blockbuster of complexity. It is almost black in color, with brooding, dense, dark fruit and spicy aromatics. The fruit is just beginning to show its potential, and unfolds in the glass to provide concentrated blackberry, dark chocolate, cherry, bourbon vanilla, root spice and sage flavors that envelop the palate. The finish is full of the regal tannins that the Husic estate provides, and this promises many years of greatness ahead. Aged in 100% new French Oak for 21 months.
