As opposed to the rich density and regal opulence of the Husic Estate, the 2008 Palm Terrace provides an abundant youthful exuberance. The black fruit, spice and vanilla aromatics are classic hillside Cabernet, and jump out of the glass. The palate is soft and supple, yet still full-bodied, allowing the flavors of anise, sage, mineral and dark cherry to shine and gather depth on the long finish. Aged in 50% new French Oak for 20 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
